Starting Back to School

I chose this topic because having balance in my life is something I struggle with. I am a type A personality that up until the last couple of years have been constantly on the go. Breast cancer and turning 40 has slowed me down and forced me to find time to "relax". The majority of my time is spent teaching, a career that was chosen for me and one that I truly enjoy and respect. But I also am a high school and club volleyball coach, mother of three active children and wife to a supportive husband. In just these short two weeks, I am finding resources to add to my teaching strategies and it just keeps getting better and bigger! I am wondering how I am going to balance it all come fall?

  1. Balancing life is hard. I also am 43, have 3 children, taking classes and teaching 7th grade. You will balance because it sounds like you enjoy what you do and that you are well respected. I will be anxious to hear how you balance your schedule. I try reading every night to help me relax and just to think about what the day has had in store and what tomorrow may bring. Everyday brings something new and exciting ~Robin Lu

  3. Hey Tina,
Wishing you a relaxing summer - hope you find some good books, I just started "Waiting for Superman" so far it is pretty good.

Best wishes and stay strong - you can beat this breast cancer - did not know, when were you diagnosed?
